On Being a Role Model
Aside from your team winning football awards or recognitions, one of the most important things you can give them is your leadership. Like many things in life, leadership is not given at birth. These kinds of things need to be learned from example. If you want to be able to re-create your skill in your players, you need to make certain that you are a good role model or a good example to them. When it comes to the rules, especially to younger players, you need to show them that they are set in place for a reason and that you readily obey each one of them. Make certain that they see you respect people in authority like referees and other coaches as well.
